A new venture from the Millemann family. The wine is made by consultant oenologist Pierre Millemann. Just one 228-litre barrel produced. Signed magnums to be auctioned for charity in Paris in April 2020. 70-year-old vines on a slope. 50–60% whole bunch. Very pretty on the nose, pure and sweet red fruits and a light peppery note. Delicately structured, paper-fine tannins. Light bodied – not quite austere, more sinewy – but persistent. Stems adding both freshness and a touch more tannin. Well balanced with the fruit. Long, elegant and fresh. (JH)
