Palish bright yellow. Ripe yellow peach on the nose, along with more exotic suggestions and a touch of reduction. Smooth, spicy and concentrated but at the same time taut and precise in spite of its impression of sucrosité . Expands in the mouth, finishing tactile, dusty and long. This has the balance to repay cellaring.

Bottled. Has the stony minerality of the village wine but also a more evident creamy, oatmeal richness. Excellent balance between sour-citrus precise freshness and a depth of fruit that gives a long, clean finish. Power and precision. (JH)

Pale, bright yellow. Good citrussy lift to the aromas of white flowers, fresh herbs and peppermint. Then surprisingly sweet and pliant on the palate if not yet particularly complex, but kept fresh by lovely acidity and some unabsorbed CO2. This attractive midweight finished with about 1.7 grams per liter of residual sugar, among the highest here in 2016.
