The Gevrey-Chambertin has a very impressive, minerally bouquet with vibrant red cherries and wild strawberry fruit, hint of orange peel developing with time and adding to what is a complex nose. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy red currant and strawberry fruit with just a fizz of sherbet towards the precocious finish. What a delicious Gevrey! Tasted May 2013.

Bright, deep red. Expressive aromas of redcurrant, tobacco, licorice and spices. Tight, juicy and intense, showing little today in the way of flesh. In a distinctly sappy, savory style but in need of at least a few years of bottle aging.

Full red-ruby. Cranberry, licorice and bitter chocolate on the nose. Dense, juicy and sweet; youthfully imploded but not hard. Penetrating acidity gives shape and verve to the crushed dark berry flavors. Tightly wound and very long, with excellent spine for aging. Strong for village wine.
