The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Prieur Bas has a well defined nose, nicely focused with neatly integrated oak, just a touch of violet merging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, quite mineral driven but it tightens up towards the finish, suggesting it needs several years in bottle.

The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Prieur Bas is lovely, bursting with aromas of raspberries, sweet spices, licorice and petals, framed by creamy oak. Medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, it's supple and seamless, with refined tannins and a bright spine of acidity.
