The 2020 Brown Blanc has a simple grapefruit, pear and lemon rind scented nose that just needs more complexity and personality. The palate is taut and fresh with fine acidity, nice tension with a finish that probably deserves better aromatics. I'd give it a couple of years in bottle to see if it improves.

The 2020 Château Brown Blanc was picked from August 26 to September 7 and matured in 50% new oak with 14.0° alcohol. It has a light, leesy nose, hints of linden and candle wax emerging with time. The palate is more promising with apricot and peachy notes on the entry, though it needs a little more tension and mineralité toward the finish. Pleasant early drinking.
