Possibly my favorite vintage of this cuvée to date, the 2011 St Joseph les Oliviers Blanc is slighter in color than the 2012 and offers an incredible perfume of white flowers, quince, spice and sauteed peaches. Medium to full-bodied, supple, elegant and silky on the palate, with a beautiful weightlessness that keeps you coming back to the glass, it's drinking spectacularly today, but should evolve gracefully through 2025.

Has the same stamp of riper fruit seen in the 2015 vintage with an almost dried-honey and dried-wild-flower note in addition to spicy saffron. The palate delivers dried-peach and melon-fruit flavors with a stony mineral edge and a hint of marzipan-flavored pastry on the finish. Great balance here, and it\'s so long and composed. Low acid and all about the phenolics. Drink now.

(80% marsanne and 20% roussanne): Pale yellow. Intense, mineral-accented aromas of pear skin, peach, quinine and white flowers. Bright and incisive, offering tangy lemon and deeper pit fruit flavors and a touch of anise. Shows a strong mineral quality on the clinging, spicy finish. Pierre Gonon told me that this wine had only recently been bottled and that it should be putting on weight through the coming spring.
