Cropped at a very modest 18 hectoliters per hectare, Picq's 2021 Chablis offers up aromas of lemon candy, white flowers and buttery pastry, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and chiseled palate.

Organic farming. Creamy citrus aroma with the classic stoniness of Chablis entwined with the fruit. Tight, crisp, decent length but a bit light in the middle. (JH)

The 2021 Chablis Village was picked as low as 20hl/ha in some parcels that were severely affected by frost. Nevertheless, it has a fresh and vibrant bouquet with fine mineralité and vivacity. "Classic Chablis" as Didier Picq tells me with what I am sure is a grin. The palate is fresh and taut, a fine saline undercurrent with a sharp and quite harmonious finish. You don't find Chablis-Village much better than this in 2021.
