Score 16.5/20 · Drink 2025-2032, Jancis Robinson MW, Jul 2025

Packed with jammy black fruit and a slightly ashy, earthy character, this is lifted by fresh notes of garrigue and garden herbs. (AB)

The 2022 T.H. Rarities Garnacha-Cariñena-Monastrell hails from old vines planted in the 1940s to País grafted to this trio of varieties in 2010. It opens with a bouquet reminiscent of a contemporary Bandol, with brambly dark fruits, leather and tar accents that introduce a silky, vibrant palate with succulent energy yet a deep, rich underlying core. It finishes with a dense, concentrated power and lingering mineral nuances. The blend is 60% Garnacha, 25% Cariñena and 15% Monastrell.
