The 2021 Chablis Vau de Vey 1er Cru, which spent nine months on the lees, has a nicely proportioned bouquet of apple blossom, wet stone and light Anjou pear scents. The palate is taut and fresh with a lovely spine of acidity, focused with ample weight towards the bright finish. A lovely Vau de Vey.

The 2021 Chablis Les Vaudevey 1er Cru was frosted and yields are 25hl/ha. Aged 30% in demi-muids and the rest in stainless-steel, it has an attractive lemon curd, yellow flower and wet limestone nose. The palate is fresh and lively on the nose, quite poised with a subtle bitter lemon notes, hints of orange pith and green apples towards the finish. Fine.
