The Clos Marsalette 2019 Blanc delivers generous aromas of pear, gooseberry, lemongrass and peach. Medium to full-bodied, charming and fleshy, with a rich core of fruit, lively acids and a saline finish, it contains some 40% Sémillon.
The 2019 Clos Maralette Blanc has a lovely, pure bouquet where the Sémillon (47% of the blend) is firmly in charge, delivering dried honey, passion fruit, kumquat and touches of lanolin that emerge with time. Distinctive. The palate is well balanced with a resinous opening, fine acidity, touches of pineapple and passion fruit, and a slight viscosity toward the finish. This is a bit of a sui generis (but also quite delicious!)
Stephan von Neipperg's 2019 Clos Marsalette Blanc is immediately alluring, thanks to its notable aromatic presence. Citrus confit, lime, mint, white flowers and a host of tropical inflections fill out the layers. In 2019, the Blanc is incredibly distinctive. Attractive Riesling-like touches linger on the finish.
