Pale yellow. Tangy aromas of orange and lemon peel and ginger. Not yet hugely complex in the mouth but boasts sexy sucrosité leavened by lovely inner-mouth tension. Intensely flavored, brisk and long.

High-toned aromatics lift from the glass in the 2013 Chablis Sechet. Mirabelle plums, kirsch and Poire William meld into honey and sweet fruit in a layered, highly expressive Seches. There is plenty of early appeal, yet the 2013 also has enough depth to develop nicely in the cellar for a number of years. This is a lovely showing.

(these vines were picked near the beginning of the harvest, just after the Vaillons): Pale yellow. Dried and fresh apricot and ginger on the nose. Concentrated and a bit youthfully aggressive, showing excellent intensity but a touch of youthful austerity to the orange zest and oyster shell flavors. Serious and strict today, but really vibrates on the persistent, fresh finish.
