The 2021 Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu opens in the glass with notes of stone fruits, blanched almonds and pastry cream, followed by a medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy palate. It's one of the broader, fatter, higher pH wines in the range this year.

The 2021 Chablis Mont de Milieu 1er Cru, which is already in bottle, was cropped at 12.5% with slightly less acidity than other vintages. It has a lively bouquet with orange blossom, Japanese yellow plum and crushed stone aromas. The palate is well balanced with lightly spiced entry, quite linear towards the finish that has fine precision. I appreciate the elegance here.
