Tasting notes

Tasting notes
Score 88/100 · Drink 2004-2018, Robert Parker, Jun 2004

The 2001 exhibits a dark ruby/purple color as well as notes of smoky charcoal and barbecue spice, sweet black currant fruit, and nicely integrated oak. With good texture and flavor, this medium-bodied, supple Bouscaut boasts excellent depth, personality, and richness. As a longtime critic of this estate, I am pleased to say this is the finest wine I have tasted from Bouscaut. Kudos to proprietors Laurent and Sophie Lurton. Enjoy it over the next 10-14 years.
