Fragrant aromas of orange zest, honeysuckle, peaches and lilac preface Moreau's 2016 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir, a full-bodied, satiny and elegantly enveloping wine with an expansive attack, lively purity and a bright, precise and delicately chalky finish. It's a lovely wine that will offer considerable near-term appeal this year.

The 2016 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru has a powerful, slightly exotic bouquet that just needs to find more refinement and terroir expression. The palate is balanced with grapefruit and orange zest on the entry, quite linear and maybe needing a little more weight towards the finish, but overall showing impressive vigour with satisfying length. Tasted blind at the BIVB Chablis tasting.
