The 2021 Meursault Perrières 1er Cru has an understated bouquet with lemon skin, orange blossom and crushed stone scents that unfurl in the glass. The palate is fresh on the entry with real mineralité —this could only be Les Perrières. Wonderful salinity yet not powerful or even tremendously long. It does not need to be! Excellent. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

The 2021 Meursault Perrières 1er Cru has a satisfying bouquet: dried flowers, pistachio, crushed stone and chalk dust, gaining complexity the entire time in the glass. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity, quite taut and fresh, though it is just missing some typical Perrières mineralité on the aftertaste.
