The 2018 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru has a wonderful bouquet of crushed stone, white peach, mirabelle and light sea spray notes. The palate is very well balanced, with a crisp line of acidity, and quite saline in the mouth, leading to a penetrating and certainly very persistent finish. Superb.

The 2018 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru is powerful, dense and closed in on itself. There is plenty of intensity and depth in the glass, but those qualities need time to fully emerge. Dried pear, almond, dried flowers, sage, mint and yellow fruit give the 2018 its brooding feel. The Vaudésir is one of the most reticent wines in this range today, but there is plenty of material there.

A very attractive and focused lime nose with chalk, a little praline and a sunny feel. The palate is very supple and succulent with dry, chalky elegance. Lacy and long. Drink on release.
