Score 90/100 · Drink 2027-2040, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jan 2025

The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Village offers up attractive aromas of raspberries, cherries and licorice, followed by a medium-bodied succulent and fine-boned palate. This is quite suave and put-together out of the gates, so it should offer a broad drinking window.

The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a tightly wound bouquet that just feels a little taciturn after the array of Marsannay Village Crus. The palate is more vocal with candied red fruit on the entry and a powdery texture, though the peppery finish perhaps misses amplitude in this vintage. Give this two or three years in bottle.
