The usual very pretty, very pale salmon. Lightly herbal nose but this seems heavier than previous vintages – there is even some heat on the finish. I wonder if it were picked at bit later? Very substantial wine that would be a bit much as an aperitif, I think. It's even a tad oily in texture. I don't think it should be kept as long as earlier vintages. (JR)

(85% grenache and 15% rolle): Light onion skin color. Candied red berries, potpourri and baking spices on the rather powerful nose, with a subtle note of vanilla. Soft and silky at first, then more tangy and taut in the mid-palate, with very good clarity to its strawberry and white peach flavors. Picks up a note of candied rose with air and finishes with very good silky persistence.
