From a great lieu-dit just outside of Mauves (which has diverse soils spanning granite, loess, and clay), the 2021 Saint Joseph Lieu-Dit Paradis offers a complex nose of red and black fruits, spice, bouquet garni, and a touch of dried flowers. It's medium-bodied, supple, supple, and elegant on the palate and already offers pleasure.

The 2021 Saint-Joseph Lieu-Dit Paradis displays a deep purple color and gradually reveals discrete red fruits, cedar, a pinch of dried herbs and tomato leaf. Fairly low in flavor concentration yet refreshing, this is an easygoing 2021 intended to be consumed in its youth.

There are three Saint Josephs from this estate. Looking first at the 2021 Saint Joseph Lieu-Dit Paradis, it comes from pure granite soils and was completely destemmed. Cassis, violets, graphite, and a huge sense of minerality define this puppy, and it's medium-bodied, has a focused, straight, almost austere mouthfeel, and outstanding length. It might be one of the few 2021 that demands some bottle age.
