Bright medium red. Reticent, even austere aromas of medicinal black cherry and pungent chalky minerality. Fresh and elegantly styled, with its red berry and chalky soil notes conveying terrific inner-mouth energy and definition. A floral element emerges with aeration and carries through the rising finish, which also displays a touch of chalky bitterness. A very precise, minerally style, more my idea of 2016 than 2015. There's nothing wild about this penetrating, firmly tannic Cazetiers, which should age gracefully.

Bright medium red. Wild aromas of raspberry, plum, red cherry and exotic spices, plus a hint of meaty reduction. Dense and tactile but a bit youthfully imploded, with strong mineral definition giving it a penetrating quality and excellent lift. Opens out nicely on the juicy, perfumed, long finish, which features firm but ripe tannins and an impression of chalky energy.
