The 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis Les Chaffots 1er Cru was acutely impacted by the frost so there are just 2.5 barrels. This has a more tertiary nose, hints of white pepper and clove, cohesive and quite focused. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, sorbet-like on the entry, quite vibrant with a touch of black pepper towards the finish. Very fine.

Aromas of plums, raw cocoa and sweet forest floor introduce the 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Les Chaffots, a medium to full-bodied, layered and vibrant wine that's more tensile and mineral than the supple, lower-altitude Riotte.
