Good medium red. Raspberry, rose petal and a leesy complexity on the nose. Fatter and riper than the Lavaux but a bit youthfully disjointed today, showing tobacco and herb nuances and an edge of acidity. The broad finish shows good spine and a restrained sweetness.

(malo 90% done) Deep ruby-red. Precise, rocky aromas of black cherry, violet and smoked meat. At once sappy and quite rich, with a small-berry chewiness to the flavors of black cherry and dark chocolate. This nicely delineated wine really resounds and builds on the back end, finishing with serious tannic spine and considerable complexity. Excellent fruit here: I can see the comparison to 1978.
