Bright dark red. Raspberry, pepper, rose petal and sexy spicy oak on the nose; this reminded me of a topnotch Barbaresco. Silky, bright and intense but tightly wound, offering terrific intensity to the red cherry and rose petal flavors. Finishes juicy and very long, but I find this hard to taste today owing to its strong oak element. This grand cru will merit a higher score if the wood harmonizes with the wine's perfumed fruits and flowers.

Medium red. Knockout perfumed lift and precision to the aromas of red cherry, rose petal and blood orange. High-pitched, juicy and sharply delineated but still youthfully imploded on the palate, offering limited flesh but terrific lift to its red berry and crushed rock flavors. Wonderfully pure, penetrating Burgundy with terrific length and mouthfilling perfume. Leaves the taste buds humming. My projected range may turn out to be too conservative.
