Score 90-93/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2006

(whole-cluster vinification) Deep red-ruby. Pure, restrained aromas of currant, raspberry and black cherry, with a faint medicinal character. Then very ripe but brooding and backward on the palate; as ripe as this is, it also conveys a coolness-especially compared to the Clos de Beze. Big and firmly tannic, with good nervosite on the back.
