Score 89/100 · Robert Parker, Feb 2008

Drier, more tannic and austere, the 2005 Cornas is slightly tough-textured, but it reveals rich fruit as well as good density and volume. It appears the balance is there for a graceful evolution over the next 7-8 years. This estate is typical of a lot of Rhone producers. After many years of selling the family’s production to negociants, Dumien-Servette began producing estate bottled wines in 1999. From their tiny 5-acre plot, they fashion fresh, straightforward, pure Cornas. No known American importer.
