Rocking raspberries, blackberries and hints of cassis emerge from the 2018 Cornas, which shows more spice, bacon fat, flowery incense, and pepper with time in the glass. With beautiful concentration, ripe tannins, and just flat-out terrific balance, this is a smoking good Cornas from this team that needs 2-3 years to integrate its oak component but will keep for 10-15 years. Bravo!

Cedary (tasted out of a new barrel), taut and intense, the 2018 Cornas looks like another successful vintage. It's full-bodied and a bit coarsely textured at the moment, but I'd expect it to smooth out a bit over the course of its elevage.
