55-year-old vines. Cask sample. Thick and concentrated with a very sweet, fruited core. Its sincere charm and depth is almost too forward except for the finely grained but significant structure and tannins. Despite the sweetness, this is built to last. (MH)

The 2020 Chambertin Grand Cru has a very complex bouquet that unfolds in the glass, a mélange of red and black fruit, pressed violets, rose petal and just a touch of autumn woodland. The palate is medium-bodied with a touch of white pepper on the entry, quite saline in the mouth with a sapid finish. Like Perrot-Minot’s other wines, this rests in the red fruit profile and it has the substance to age well in bottle.
