Score 89-91/100 · Drink 2020-2035, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2016

The 2015 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has a tightly wound bouquet with dark cherries, raspberry preserve and hints of violet petal. The palate is medium-bodied, foursquare with a grippy and quite sinewy finish. There is good density but it will need a few years to soften. I would like more sophistication to show through.

Savoury notes but very transparent. Good lift and freshness. Really lifted, such savour. So vibrant. (JR)

Bright medium red. Pure but reticent aromas of strawberry, raspberry and stony minerality complicated by a mulch note. Penetrating and sharply delineated, with a restrained sweetness from the cool site. There's nothing fat or easy about this youthfully imploded grand cru, but it boasts terrific minerality and lift. Hardly a typical 2015 in terms of its texture, this wine will need time in bottle.
