Bright medium ruby. Musky blackberry, raspberry, violet, licorice, minerals and smoky oak on the nose; almost Chambolle-like in its perfume. Then juicy, tightly wound and sharply delineated, with very intense mineral and floral flavors. Not at all fat, but a wine of great class and precision. Finishes with outstanding verve and thrust. This beauty should develop in bottle for the next 12 to 15 years.

Good bright full ruby. Highly nuanced nose combines black cherry, blackberry, cassis, rose petal, smoked meat, minerals and licorice. Supple and sweet but powerful, with very pure, strong dark berry and mineral flavors. Shows an almost exotic richness for this wine. Finishes very long and sweet, with a note of licorice.
