The 2010 Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru was a low-volume vintage due to coulure that reduced quantity to just two barrels. It has a very intense and delineated, electrifying bouquet, with red fruit tinged with pencil lead and light estuarine scents. Brilliant focus. The palate has a symmetry that the 2009 does not possess, taut and linear, gradually building towards a piquant finish that lingers long and tenderly in the mouth. A true Grand Vin. Tasted at the Clos de Bèze vertical at La Cobotte.

Duroche - Producer
Domaine Duroche

Domaine Duroché has, under Pierre Duroché, become one of the most sought-out and respected wine domaines in Gevrey-Chambertin. The wines are delicate and detailed, yet with old-vine intensity, a clear sense of place and style – and it’s easy to see why they’ve rapidly become so in-demand.
