Score 92/100 · William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jul 2020

The 1972 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is drinking beautifully, wafting from the glass with aromas of plums, smoked meats, loamy soil, orange rind and warm spices. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and sumptuous, with lively acids, melting tannins and a sapid core of fruit, it's fully mature, concluding with a long, expansive finish.
