65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc. Harvested 25 September to 9 October. Amber hue. Green and grassy on the nose. Lots of acidity, although there is still a hint of fruit. Little flavour, though. Sharp and acerbic on the finish. Very green. (JL)

(magnum, tasted at dinner, not blind) Young, simple, quite sweet. Pretty. Delicate with a slightly drying finish. (JR)

Score 86/100 · Drink 1990, Robert Parker, Aug 1993

This domaine consistently does fine work in off years, and the 1987 boasts a perfumed vanilla-scented bouquet, ripe raspberry and blackcurrant flavors, light to medium body, and soft tannins in the finish. Fully mature, it should be drunk up. Last tasted, 1/93.
