Score 91-93/100 · Drink 2018-2035, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2015

The 2014 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru les Charmes, matured in 50% new oak like les Carrières, has a more fruit-driven, slightly richer and more extravagant bouquet than the other premier crus, still with tangible mineralité underneath. The palate is medium-bodied with supple ripe tannin, good structure and tension, a touch of spice emerging towards the finish. The length is impressive here, one for those who like a more opulent style of Chambolle.
