Score 90/100 · Drink 2015-2025, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Dec 2015

A fair click back from this estate’s incredible 2012, yet still possessing classic Cornas character, Domaine Lionnet’s 2013 Cornas Terre Brulee gives up lots of peppery herbs, underbrush and black raspberry/strawberry fruit in a medium-bodied, pretty and classic package. Aged all in older barrels, it’s already drinking nicely but will evolve gracefully through 2025.

Fragrant, liquorice and aniseed on the palate. Firm, astringent tannins give a gruff tone to the finish. Enough black fruit to outlast the very young structure. (RH)
