Tasting notes
Focused, with density and substance, but this Cornas remains graceful in texture and character. On the nose it shows cherries, spiced plums, dried flowers, crushed stones and baking spices. It has a peppery palate and vivid tension. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. So stony, bringing tension and a vertical dimension. Savory and vibrant finish with more stone and black pepper energy. Drink or hold.

Rocking aromatics of blue fruits, fresh fig, violets, and peppery, herbal nuances emerge from the 2024 Cornas Granit 60, and it's medium-bodied, with a focused, layered mouthfeel, plenty of tannins, and a great finish. It was aged 16 months in used French oak barrels. It's perhaps a touch more nuanced and complex than the Granit 30, but both of these cuvées are beautiful wines in the vintage.
Alluring blackberry compote, dark cherry, pencil shavings, dried herbs and crushed violets introduce the 2024 Cornas Granit 60, a medium to full-bodied, energizing Cornas from the talented Vincent Paris, easing forward with remarkable drive on the long finish.
Vines on g ranitic sand and gravel. 30% whole bunch. Cold maceration for 5 days. Fermentation with ambient yeasts. Pumpovers daily during the 3 weeks of maceration. RS 1 g/l. Tasted blind. The nose is meaty and has a bacon-fat note with crunchy herbal notes underneath. Juicy and brimming with fruit. Underpinned by fine but ripe tannins and lively acidity. Really balanced, elegant and with great concentration of fruit. (AC)
