Smells like sun-warmed granite, hot slate, a cold fireplace, and smoked duck. Comple and aromatically wonderful. Then has plenty of fruit on the palate, driving acidity and good grip on the long finish. It's really chiseled, energetic, electric on the palate, with huge length. Immensely impressive, and drinking very well now. 45- to 85-year-old vines, whole-bunch fermented with natural yeasts, no filtration, no fining, no new oak.

Brilliant violet. Suave, expansive aromas of fresh blueberry, blackberry, incense and candied flowers. Juicy, seamless and concentrated, offering intense, smoke-tinged dark fruit preserve, violet and olive flavors and suggestions of licorice and spicecake that build on the back half. In a generous, fruit-forward style; sneaky tannins frame the energetic dark fruit on a very long, floral-tinged finish.
