The 2021 Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru has a very complex bouquet with a mixture of red and black fruit, touches of brown spice, orange pith and blood orange. Very focused. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, a little more powdery in texture than the Clos-de-Bèze, hints of dark chocolate on the aftertaste. Wonderful. There are just 85 liters as usual, minus the mouthful that accidentally on purpose, I swallowed.

Giving and pretty, the 2021 Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru bursts with aromas of sweet red berries, plums, orange zest, rose petals and Indian spices. Medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, with melting tannins and a long, floral finish, it's a wine that readers who privilege perfume over power will adore.
