Score 92/100 · Drink 2025-2045, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jan 2023

The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Etelois has turned out beautifully, bursting with aromas of cherries, sweet red berries, licorice, orange zest and petals. Medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, with melting tannins and succulent acids, it's a suave, seamless wine that concludes with a long, perfumed finish.

The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Etelois has a slightly steaminess on the nose from the 15% whole bunch, which lends it freshness. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, quite fleshy and ripe with fine acidity, harmonious and velvety smooth towards the finish. Clever winemaking here. Subtle, but memorable.
