The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Jeunes Rois has quite a feisty and expressive bouquet, perhaps happy that there are four barrels this year. There is real concentration on the nose due to the millerandage . The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, harmonious and poised, lightly spiced with a little more substance than the Gevrey Village. Very fine.

The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Jeunes Rois is the sole lieu-dit bottling Duroché produced this year. Bursting with aromas of raspberries, orange rind, plums, rose petals and forest floor, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless, with melting tannins, lively acids and a long, spicy finish.

Domaine Duroche

Domaine Duroché has, under Pierre Duroché, become one of the most sought-out and respected wine domaines in Gevrey-Chambertin. The wines are delicate and detailed, yet with old-vine intensity, a clear sense of place and style – and it’s easy to see why they’ve rapidly become so in-demand.
