Score 93-95/100 · Drink 2027-2044, Neal Martin, Jan 2026

The 2024 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru has more vigour and depth on the nose compared to the preceding Charmes-Chambertin: dark berry fruit, sous-bois, hints of thyme and bay leaf. The palate is well balanced with commendable grip and weight. Real substance in this wine, very pure dark berry fruit laced with white pepper and thyme, leading to a nicely structured but still quite airy finish. Excellent.

Domaine Duroche

Domaine Duroché has, under Pierre Duroché, become one of the most sought-out and respected wine domaines in Gevrey-Chambertin. The wines are delicate and detailed, yet with old-vine intensity, a clear sense of place and style – and it’s easy to see why they’ve rapidly become so in-demand.
